Head of Department
Sarah Grace Ll.b is Head of the Criminal Service Department encompassing the Police Station, Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and Complex Case teams
Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 1999, specialising exclusively in crime throughout her career in the South Wales and Gwent areas. A member of the Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor schemes, Sarah is a keen advocate in the process of obtaining her Higher Rights of Audience to develop our range of service to clients in the Crown Court.
Solicitors
Nathan Jones L.l.b joined Morgans in 2004 and quickly established his reputation as an advocate in the Magistrates Court. Nathan thrives on conducting trials and is a Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor
James Harris L.l.b. has a wealth of experience, having been with the business since leaving post-graduate studies. James is shortly to complete his Duty Solicitor Accreditation for the Police Station and Magistrates Courts schemes. Whilst completing his training with Morgans, James developed significant expertise in defending prosecutions by the Department for Work & Pensions and Local Authorities. His knowledge of the benefits system has resulted in over payment levels being greatly reduced and in a number of instances prevented clients from receiving custodial sentences.
Nicola Mitchard L.l.b has been specialising in Fraud and Complex Cases for over 10 years. Her expertise has been central to a number of high profile cases with celebrated results. Nicola is highly skilled in the investigative process required to defend cases demanding the highest level of scrutiny.
Bill Cordingley L.l.b moved to Cardiff having practiced as a self employed barrister in London . He has acted for the defence in the full range of offences. As a barrister he is able to represent the firm’s clients in all courts including the Crown Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. He has a particular interest in public law, prison law and judicial review
Legal Executives
Catherine Thompson M.Inst L.Ex is a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives and Junior Operations Manager of our Crown Court Department. Catherine is renowned for her thoroughness and professionalism which has proved vital to the success of her clients’ cases.
